KIWASH supports WSPs to address the challenges of reduced revenue collection and continuity of supply chains or stockpiles of critical materials which have been exacerbated by the pandemic. The goal is to identify and implement strategies that not only weather additional stresses but position WSPs for accelerated recovery. These include developing and implementing county-specific business continuity plans for the continuity of essential functions over the short, medium, and long terms considering necessary inputs, staffing, and cash needs. KIWASH also targets to train 200 WSP frontline utility staff and day laborers and 150 county and rural water management committee staff on best hygiene practices at home and in the workplace.
